Believe it or not, the headlines you read of founders building incredible startups, that seemingly take a linear path to the moon is the experience of less than 1% of founders.
For those of us that have worked in startups for a long time, we know this too well. However, the stories of the other 99% rarely make it to the surface.
Frankly, this is a missed learning opportunity for the sector. But not for this group :) My writing and philosophy are built around the brutal honesty and reality of what it takes to build a sustainable SaaS company. I don’t allow my founders, their teams or my readers to shy away from the truth.
Sometimes it gets uncomfortable, I make no apologies about this. Time is our most valuable commodity, I’m not here to waste my time or yours.
So, with that in mind, I’m thrilled to announce our first speaker to ZT20 Live.
I’ve gotten to know Anish Parikh very quickly over the last couple of months. I was assigned as his mentor at First Round Capital earlier this year, and soon learned he was leaving his First Round portfolio company to begin his second start-up.
His back story of MIT grad to building his first startup, to raising capital from superstar investors to generating $multi-million ARR is the stuff every founder dreams about, but what happened next is rarely told.
Anish has kindly allowed me to interview him. And it will get real…
